Gayest metal song

I was made for loving you -- KISS

The hair band discussion prompted me to focus my listening habits lately on the "Metal" section of my MP3 collection: Metallica, ACDC, Def Leopard, Kiss, Scorps, etc.

That song makes anything from my gay 80's collection of Erasure, Depeche Mode, The Cure, OMD, Pet Shop Boys sound straight as the new Johnny Lingo.

Gayer than "Love of a Lifetime" by the Damn Yankees? Actually I have no idea whether or not they are a hair band, I always just kind of assumed.

Love of a Lifetime <shudder> was by Firehouse.

Damn Yankees were pretty cool, despite the incredibly wussy High Enough. They had Ted Nugent. Nuff said.

Oh, you are right. Pardon my mistake. Either way, the idea that grown men that call themselves rockstars recorded that leads me to only one conclusion...gay.

I never liked KISS. Their music has always sucked. But the hair metal version of KISS was incredibly gay, as one look at Paul Stanley's dance moves will attest.

I've thought about it, but that KISS song is really gay. That's a tough one to top.

Ice Cream Man by Van Halen is also pretty gay, despite the fact that it was dedicated to the ladies.

My list of the top 5 gayest hair/metal songs:

1. Pour some sugar on me - (This is a runaway winner. Nothing comes close)
2. When love and hate collide
3. Bringing On The Heartbreak
4. Don't know what you got until it's gone
5. I'll be there for you

Hey! I like 3/5s of those songs.

What about Love Bites? Or is Def Leppard not a metal band? (I get confused on the musical semantics.)

Love Bites could have been in there, but I decided to recognize other bands as well. Def Leppard could have it's own list.

And they are a hair band.

Which 5 do you like?

So is "hair band" like a subset of "metal band"? Or is it an equivalence? I'm so confused. Can someone draw a Venn diagram for me?

To answer your question, I've never heard #s 2 and 3.
