I guess the news coming out of this is Uchtdorf's removal from the FP
 

He would be the first since Marion G. Romney who was not retained by ETB.

The other example that comes to mind is when Hugh Brown was not retained after DOM.

Btw, I'm not sure where we get the idea that Uchtdorf is more "liberal." I think it comes from the nature and subject of his talks in GC. But who knows what he believes on the controversial topics of the past few years. He may be more liberal. Or less liberal. And so forth.

It's not like we have some tell-all book that gives us a front row in the meetings of the FP and the apostles.

Btw, all the Mormon liberals pining for brown apostles from other continents...several commentators made the point that those populations are MUCH more conservative than Americans. Liberals might not find themselves so happy.
