Interesting but given the reluctance of Mormons to acknowledge its mystical past, are you surprised that current Mormons won't discuss such theological questions?

The reason I can't read or discuss this article is that it is written for pointy-headed academics, and their specialized language that I don't understand.

I've been reading religious studies articles for a while now. I'll provide a summary.

What does the article say? That Mormons have a pretty cool theological idea of a heavenly mother that fits certain feminist ideals?

There was nothing political on the first two pages.

Irigay said that without a feminine deity, women do not have a ideal to strive towards. And she said this in 1970s, while Mormons were believing in Heavenly Mother much earlier.
