Can Someone Fill Me In?

Been away from the board for a few days, and it looks like some stuff has gone on. I've done a little digging but can't really tell what has happened other than a new site has been created.

I'm really not trying to start anything, but could someone tell me what happened and what is happening? PM is fine if that is more appropriate. Thanks in advance.
