Roadie Recs...

I am a mountain bike guy looking for a roadbike to start up on. I am hoping to do some triathlons mostly.

First, I don't know if my ADHD can tolerate road biking, so I need to find a good used bike.

Second, I am a sports equipment snob. I want a good buy, but will pay once cry once.

I am 6' 5" and need a bike big enough for a sasquatch.

suggestions??

You need a sturdy frame and being a physician will not like bad equipment.

You will actually want two bikes, a tri bike, which has a built in aero configuration and a road bike.

Trek has some good deals.

What does your local bike shop carry?

I cater to physicians so I know their likes and dislikes.

I can tell you what the best are, and what you would really like.

The best tri TT bike is the P3 Carbon Cervelo.

The best road bike is taste specific, but Litespeed makes a Vortex for bigger guys which is fabulous.

Join the local tri team as they will get deals with the local bike shop you can't otherwise get.

tell us how much you want to spend first. "snob" means different things to different people.

after that you need to decide about such things as comfort vs. speed.

Correct.

Doctor snob is different than normal person snob.

Doctor snob, means price is no object.

Normal person snob depends.

If you're willing to spend 2000 to 2500, you can get a very nice bike.

If you're willing to spend $5000 to $7000, you can get whatever you wish.

And if you are a doctor snob, you can buy a Temple Bike, the Rolls of the Bikes.
