Helping Hands in NY

Nice video about LDS service in the NY area, helping with hurricane clean-up. Mormons sure know a thing or two about emotional background music.

*Almost* makes me feel bad that I declined to wear the yellow vest this fall when participating in a service project.

Maybe you could get more help if you could get some of those yellow vests. And you'd need to extend the moving service outside the church family. . .

We extend it to every member of the church, whether active or inactive, in our ward or not. Unlimited number of moves as well. Evicted every two months? Sure, we'll help out. :)

I sometimes get a little uncomfortable with the self-congratulatory back-patting that the LDS do, esp. when it either states or implies that other churches help less. Because I know for a fact, that sometimes that is not true at all. And I get very sick of the "only two churches helped, the LDS and the Mormons" B.S.

But that was a nice video, and I'm glad folks are helping out up there.
