Benjamin's "On the Concept of History"
He's one of my favorite interlocuters and has greatly influenced my consideration of historical objects.
Enjoy! http://www.leedstrinity.ac.uk/depart.../CONCEPT2.html |
That link only reinforced my belief that I'm not that bright.
But I could hit a curveball when I was in school. I bet ol' Walt couldn't. ;) |

Why do I think of him as an art critic?
I do like the arguments about translations. http://www.leedstrinity.ac.uk/depart.../TranslWB.html Jetztzeit and Gegenwart is a good example. It is difficult to read German philosophy, even in German, because the German is highly specialized. Just reading the Adorno letters makes my head spin. |
