the Great Debaters was well played and worth watching, even if it is a bit emotive and theatrical.

I understand that the culminating debate in the movie in actuality took place at USC rather than Harvard.

I wondered about the historicity. It would make more sense for USC to have allowed it than Boston back then. And seeing that Oprah is involved, truth may have been stretched or changed.
