is not happening.

That's good news. It must mean we are getting a greater percentage of the youth on missions.

not sure anyone should be that surprised other than those who wanted to see the numbers fall back. For young men, that year between 18 and 19 probably always had a sizeable degree of fallout when some go off to college and change their minds. For young women I think it's a no-brainer. Of course more are going to go on missions with the age moved up to 19. A lot can happen between 19-21. Probably the biggest barrier to making that change years ago was resistance to the idea that it isn't a necessity for women to marry before age 21.
