I know this dude doing his PhD at Catholic in biblical studies who's studied egyptian wordplay in the BoM. Once he comes back to start the semester, I'll ask him to send me one of his papers.

In all probability, New Egyptian or demotic. How the hell should I know. Egyptian had numerous morphisms.

There is no one Egyptian and something evolving over three thousand years with great areas covered obviously manifested itself in multiple forms.
