Billy Bob Thornton and Canada

He is my new hero.

He was interviewed, to great publicity, on a Canadian radio show. Apparently he had made a deal with the producers that he would not be questioned about his film career, and of course the interviewer immediately starts talking about Billy Bob's music in the context of his film career. So BB decides he is not going to cooperate.

Anyway, Billy Bob said something that is truly great, memorable, and true (paraphrased): "Canada is mashed potatoes without the gravy."

I mean, has any man ever captured the essence of an entire nation and people more succinctly. Genius.

He had to cancel the rest of his appearances in Canada, because the mashed potatoes started to get angry.

Yeah, I read about that, I thought it was pretty funny too.

Billy Bob Thornton is a piece of trash, but I still kinda like the guy.

I thought it was all pretty funny -- what a dork.

I saw a clip of that interview somewhere. I don't think he's going to be remembered for being a genius in that interview.
