This HBO doc....first half was more interesting than the second half. First half was more about L. Ron Hubbard, his life, and how the whole thing came about.

Was he a con artist? Was he a pseudo-scientist? Was he mentally ill? Did he believe in his own teachings and religion?

It sounds like he was a character for a long time before the CoS started.

Perhaps more thoughts later, about how this reflects on Mormonism.
