My prediction for a Tex thread tomorrow

No matter what happens in the VP debate tonight, I predict that Tex will come here tomorrow with a post about what a great job Sarah Palin did, and how poorly Biden did. And that if the media pundits think otherwise, it's because they're liberally biased.

Just a feeling I have.

Wooo, bold call there buddy.

I understand that the debate format will be not so much a debate, rather the two candidates will be taking turns stating canned responses to pre-determined questions. The republicans insisted on this format before agreeing to the debate. So, yes, I am guessing she will do better than people expect and Tex will gloat. But let's not call it a debate.

I predict a "we told them thanks , but no thanks for that bridge to nowhere."

and "drill, baby, drill."

Sarah Palin: the woman who single-handedly destroyed feminism.

Screw this crap. Let's talk about the REAL issues:

1. Will Palin flash some cleave or will she continue wearing these fugly Nehru jackets that cover everything up to her neck? The McCain camp needs a boost and she needs to distract voters from her answers.

My Vote: CLEAVE.

2. Will she wear a brightly colored outfit that says, "I'm trying hard to appear to be heterosexual, but I'm really a lesbian," a la Hillary's orange pantsuit? Or will she go business cas and sport a dark outfit?

My Vote: DARK OUTFIT

3. As a lesbian side note, will she rock a pantsuit? Or will she continue to milk her gams for more political capital?

My Vote: SKIRT

4. Will she use her baby as a prop before OR after the debate? It is inevitable that the baby is going to make an appearance on camera.....who doesn't bring their little baby along to work, after all? My question...will it be right before the debate begins (she hands the baby to her husband as she goes on stage)....during the debate (camera shots of the baby in the audience) or after the debate (husband hands her the baby onstage, as if to say, "ok, you are done now, please come home, Mommy).

My Vote: MID-DEBATE

5. Hair: Up-do or down?

My Vote: UP (that is a Santos lock)

6. Will she refer to herself as a hockey mom?

My Vote: you betcha!

A more interesting prediction would center around how many different threads about Palin Cali Coug will start once the debate is over. I think Cali has a "thang" for Palin.

Is it possible for the VP debate to blow it for McCain?

Palin MUST look like she knows what she's talking about and that she is qualified to take over the presidency if necessary. That is the primary purpose of the VP according to the Constitution and that's what she's being elected to do. If she blows it, McCain's campaign is done. Ross Perot had a a lot momentum going until Admiral Stockdale ruined it with his bizarre "who am I" "I don't know why I'm here" comments.

Hell, Stockdale had even LESS experience than Obama.

Gwen Ifil just said there will be 2 minutes for discussion after each question, and that she has not shared the questions or topics with anyone.

Where did you get your bad information, Leb?

It came out in the NYTimes a couple of weeks ago. The candidates must have continued negotiations after that agreement was negotiated. Either that or the Times had its story wrong.

I'm calling this. Palin wins.

Also, the news media (for the most part) is liberal. I thought that was a given. But they are professionals, so they do not let their own political leanings creep into their presentation of the news.

I know this because they tell us so.
