Snow across the West
The Cascades have received 60 inches of snow in the last five days; causing the biggest avalanches in 30 years. At the pass, I-90 has been closed most of the week. It looks like WA is already well above averages for snowfall.
http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/cgibin/...ph.pl?state=WA IIRC, Utah has been in a drought for the last five years or so. If this is still the case, does it look like the totals for this year will put a dent in it? http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/cgibin/...ph.pl?state=UT http://users.frii.com/global-cgi-bin...=utah&format=1 http://users.frii.com/global-cgi-bin...=utah&format=1 All of the West http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/snotelanom/basinpre.html http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/snotelanom/basinswe.html |

All I know is I'm damn sick and tired of all the snow.
Uncle already....mother nature has made me her bitch this year. I'm ready for Spring. |
Having lived in Utah since 94, I can not remember such a consistent pattern of snow storms since I moved here. There have been bigger storms, longer lasting storms, but never so many days in a row.

Well guess what Utah? It's been raining hard here all day, non-stop with some decent winds. Snow levels are at 1,000 feet. You usually get what we got within a day or 2. Enjoy this next one, I'll bet it dumps another foot on you.

The snow just keeps piling up. Usually there's not enough snow or it warms up enough to completely melt every couple weeks. We've got snow piles in our neighborhood from clearing the roads and driveways that are 8 feet tall and they just keep growing. Unreal.

I don't know what our snow totals to date are, but we are caught up to what we got 2 years ago, I have 12" of Packed snow in the back yard. That may not seem like much, but that stuff will be in the yard 'til April.

No snow in Dallas this year.
