Steak Marinades
 

I rarely marinade a steak.

While BBQ'ing I've found something I enjoy. I like to get the Montreal Seasoning and liberally apply it,,,then get a BBQ brush and pour some Famous Dave's BBQ sauce on the steak and then liberally spread it over the steak.

I do it several times on each side while cooking.

It turns out very tender and very tasty.

I cannot support this post until you replace "BBQ" with "Grilling".

Usually if I have a nice tender cut of something I am going to grill I just rub it with kosher salt and grill.

But usually with a lesser grade cut I'll do something similar to Rocky. I'll use Montreal steak seasoning and then brush on my own teriyaki glaze or if I don't have something of my own I'll use Yoshida's. Very nice sweetness combined with the bite of the Montreal steak seasoning.

Is that an inside joke or are you serious?

Serious as a heart attack. Grilling <> BBQ.

I BBQ'd on a Grill. Same difference.

No you GRILLED a steak. You don't BBQ steaks. BBQ is slow cooked in a smoker. Things like ribs, brisket, sausages, etc.

GRILLING over charcoal is NOT BBQ. That's my point.

So does that mean I didn't BBQ a hamburger on my George Foreman today?
