I like Hyatts better than Hilton. Parks are nice, better than Regencys.
You seem to have omitted Sleep Inn. |
The Fairmont is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Though when I travel I'm usually looking for the cheapest thing I can find that doesn't have bed bugs and roaches.

I choose KOA.

St. Regis' need to be at the top of the list.
I prefer Starwood brand, which includes St. Regis, W, westin, sheraton and others. |
I would easily place America's Best Value Inn at the bottom of the second list. My one experience with it in Nowhere, IL, was not something I'd choose to relive.
As for one not listed on the first list, you can't beat the Sofitel bed. |

Generally, too much variation within chains to rank them as chains. That said, I've never stayed in a Four Seasons that wasn't exceptional. There are some exceptional hotels in most of the top part of the list - the Marriott in Frankfurt (Germany, not Kentucky) comes to mind... |
