Danielson handing in there at Vuelta
There is an intersting read on velonews of a Q and A with Tom Danielson at the Vuelta.
http://www.velonews.com/race/int/articles/8869.0.html It sounds to me like he is almost awestruck at being at a grand tour and is in survival mode more than attack mode. I would rather have him be conservative and safe than blow up and embarass himself. But it is still fun to watch guys like Vinokourov race. My favorite quote of his - "When I feel good, I attack. When I don't feel good, I attack." |
My quote: when I feel good, I hang, when I don't feel
good, I get dropped.
|
I still can't get over the fact that the guy is 5' 10" and weighs 129 pounds. With numbers like that he seems destined to be one of the great climbers.

He seems to be fading now

Down to tenth. Good to see Heras win it though. |
Danielson up to 9th

More shocking is the revelation that the "leaker" is Hein Verbruggen, President of the UCI. |
