Marco Rubio: lapsed Mormon

Interesting. Of course, in many ways a story that happens all the time. Kid grows up in church, but by the time adulthood comes around, have stopped attending and have lost interest. And then populate our membership records, with the occasional efforts to contact and reactivate.

A Mormon and a Catholic/Baptist/Mormon on the ticket? I don't think the public could stomach that. But maybe I'm wrong.

I don't think it would make the least bit of difference. At all. And anyway, his alleged "Mormonism" is irrelevant. Even in America there are not enough idiots to whom the religious views of a 12-year-old boy (now 41) matter to sway votes in a single precinct, much less an entire state.

There are plenty of other perfectly legitimate reasons to not want Rubio on the ticket.

Not enough idiots in America? Are you awake? Do you watch the news? We have arguably reached "Idiocracy" status already.

The Rubio camp further disputes this claim by producing his certificate of first communion.

Rise of the churchers?
