Ballard and Romney

http://newsroom.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/...-use-new-media

I propose that this talk by Elder Ballard at BYU Hawaii and on the front page of www.lds.org is landmark for the church and hints around the importance and the huge opportunity the church has right now.

Elder Ballard is the head of missionary committee (I think) and speaks on missionary work more than any of the 12.

His talk was directly related to media attention church has received due to Romney's campaign.

Church has poured more and more money into media campaigns to further missionary work as traditional methods of tracting and street proselyting have become less effective.

Waters seems very concerned about alleged slowing of missionary work in North America.

Connect these dots and it's very obvious that Romney's campaign is a huge boon for the church. And the deeper he gets and the more media attention he gets, the better.

I'm not going to tell anyone they're not a good Mormon for not supporting Romney. But if missionary work and being part of the Mormon tribe is important to you, supporting Romney's campaign appears to be a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity.

P.S. ALUF's probably wouldn't see any value in supporting Romney as they are against this way of thinking.

Well, Romney is a zoob. ;)

Romney is my 2nd choice behind Hunter - maybe 3rd behind McCaine.

But take heart - if Romney wins the nomination, he'll get this ALUF's vote.

Who's Hunter? The guy from 80's TV show? If so, I'd definitely vote for him.

Exactly. It's a shame that more Republicans don't know him.

He's a Congressman from the San Diego area who chose not to run for election and run for President:
