3 for 3!

Game Over.

Welcome, President Obama!

TripletDaddy 10-16-2008 05:01 AM

A hearty LOL to all those who supported McCain. Especially to those who felt that McCain played the media like a virtuoso.

Do you remember the day after the RNC, when nameless folks here thought the Republicans had found their trump card in Sarah Palin? The hockey mom who was tellin' it like was, taking on Obama, and scaring the Democrats? A hearty LOL to them, too.

See you in 2012.

According to the knuckleheads on this board, we will all be socialists, our kids will be gay, there will be no capitalism/free markets, and our military will be decimated. All very likely scenarios. I am really scared.

I never thought I'd live to see the day we elected a Muslim as our president.

I do recall Il Pad saying several times something to the effect of "cluck cluck cluck cluck" when I pointed out the stupidity of the Palin pick.

I guess I will just have to live with 4 years of fear that she will run again!

(PLEASE run again, Sarah!)

Be honest- do you find males more attractive now than you did a few hours ago? We are all friends here. You don't need to wait 3 weeks to admit it.

EPU knows I am lying in wait to bust out the cluck cluck cluck retribution. I am waiting until the night of Nov 4 when all the Palinators on this site are complaining vociferously about the doom and gloom that is about to overtake us.

Someone needs to go back and put together a "Best Of" compendium of all the McCain-Palin support posts.....such as Tex's now-infamous virtuoso comment. Cluck Cluck Cluck is another good one. On CB, when talking about the Democrats reaction to the Palin pick, Snipe said of Palin...."She's their worst nightmare."

Sweet Dreams, McCainiacs. Sweet dreams.

I've underestimated the stupidity of the American public. They actually believe that Obama is different than any other politician, including you.

Obama will destroy this country. You can give me crap about it if you wish, but when you're paying more taxes than you've ever paid in your life, you will only have Obama and the other socialists to blame.

Il, how do we pay for the spending that has gone on in Washington under St Ronald and Bush?

Not me. I feel bad for McCain, now resigned to his fate, growing ever more bitter and angry in the public appearances. He really did serve this country admirably. In a sense he really did pay his dues, and I understand why it's so incomprehensible to him that he would not reap the just rewards (in his mind) of his efforts. Truthfully, I think he suffers from the same entitlement mentality that Hillary did, and he's handling the end with about as much grace as she did. I feel for both of them, having invested so much with so little to show for it in the end.

On the other hand, he largely brought this on himself by selling out to the neocons with his platform, then selecting possibly the most uninformed, underqualified VP we've ever seen, and going with an incredibly negative campaign rhetoric. And his campaign was disorganized and never seemed to have a consistent vision or strategy.

Now, these people I don't feel bad for. I actually got kicked off a board the day after the VP announcement for trying to (in my usual charming fashion) point out the truth about Palin, and suggest that she'd become a liability to the ticket. I was informed at the time that I'm just jealous of her appearance. Now that the truth about Palin is more widely accepted, I'd love to go back there and drop a few "how do you like me now"s.

See you in 2012.

what I thought was funny was those Palin supporters on cougarboard yesterday that were saying they wished she had been debating obama last night. The response was that she would have attacked him more. I guess what they fail to see is that it wouldn't have convinced anyone that wasn't already in their camp. To convince anyone still undecided she would actually have to say something of substance and it appears she doesn't have any of that except for on energy policy. Palin was arguably the worst VP choice a major party candidate has ever made. Voters may appreciate she's just like them, but that doesn't mean they think their next door neighbor should be the vice president.

when it comes down to it, congress (even democrats) will be slow to pass any tax increase. They still have to go home and break the bad news to their constituents. If there was a tax increase passed, you would see huge turnover in the next election. A tax increase is probably what the republican party needs to turn the tide the other way. That is one issue you can get people to respond to in an election.

I'm not absolving any past administrations. I'm saying that Obama will make it worse. He will be the most liberal POTUS and nothing will stop him from creating entitlements and policies with Pelosi and Reid as his cohorts.

It's true. McCain said just last night that Obama is working to "destroy the very fabric of democracy."

Not 3rd world. But no longer super power either.

I realize the US is on the brink of losing super power status as it is because of Bush, but I believe Obama will push us into the same category as France, Britain and the rest of the socialist countries. There is nothing that tells me otherwise.

Wonder what Triplet is up to these days. A Palin presidential run would be worth it just to watch him and Barbara flip out.

Why are you so intent on keeping Obama in office? A Palin run would guarantee Obama's victory. I couldn't support her and I dislike most of Obama's substantive policies. That would force me to vote libertarian, a throw away I know, Palin is simply not equipped to be President.
