Good seafood in Seattle?

I'll be on University in downtown Seattle. Recomendations on some tasty salmon?

MikeWaters 07-08-2008 04:20 PM

actually seafood in Seattle is terrible. Go for the Tex-Mex.

I ate a nice place along the shore, had some great salmon. Ask Seattle the name of the place.

Although it's a chain, I've been partial to McCormick and Schmick's (yes I have eaten at the original in Portland).

There is a place on one of the piers that I went to about 10 years ago that was excellent. Can't remember what is was called but they had a cioppino that was to die for.

The oysters I had in Bethesda at McCormick and Schmick's were pure heaven. They were local east coast oysters, from the Chesepeake Bay I think.

After that I couldn't eat the cheap crappy oysters I would eat in a dive here.

My mouth is watering right now.

Anthony's Homeport - down on the pier. Planked salmon - best I've ever had.

So do you get your chowder with or without condoms?

You will have to google that one for sure.

'Bone' Apetit!

Anthony's Homeport it is. (I'm not big on snot on the half shell).
I will return and report.

The condom was rolled up, it's ok.

Sorry. Overlooked this thread. There are dozens of places. I like the Waterfront Restaurant the best. I'm not sure if it's open for lunch. Anothony's right there on the waterfront a block from the Waterfront is also good. If you go to Ballard Ray's Boathouse is a classic. Etta's in the market is fabulous. There is also good seafood at the Metropolitan Grill and El Gaucho and Wild Ginger. These are my favorites.

Illegal. Only the natives can do it certain times of the year if the escapement is large enough. "Subsistence"--putting a net at the mouth of the fish ladder. You'd have to walk for a few minutes, by the way.
