When are you taking your family to Disney World?

I get it, it's a fat joke. Except I'm not fat, I'm husky.

Understood and agreed. I will at least give them warning that the ball is approaching, unless they are playing unreasonably slow. And unreasonably is defined as "more than 5 minutes to play a hole".

Luckily I usually play early morning or after dinner and there is nobody on the course. I'm proud to say that I've played 18, walking, in under two hours.

Is that fast? I wouldn't know. I don't play elitist sports.

Nothing like a morning of golf followed by an afternoon at the Polo field.

That's a little less than half the national average for a round.

I've also played 72 holes in six hours, but I used a cart to do that. The last 18 was more slog than joy. I was going to get it in those final few holes regardless of how poorly I shot just to be able to say I did it.

I'd be happy to answer any other questions you have about golf. It's a great game.

Is croquet elitist? I played that once when our family was invited over to a rich family's home.

And then throwing quarters at the help as they scurry around cleaning up. Good times.

The nice thing about living where I do is that is possible. We don't go to the matches as much as we'd like, but a couple times a summer we pack up the pate and champagne and head over for a few chuckkars.
