Here is a link to a page on the Food Network website that is full of 30-minute meals. Honestly I like watching the show because the hostess, Rachael Ray, is the prozac poster child.

My favorites:
Chilimac, tunmac, and hammac Macaroni and Cheese and Stovetop can be mixed with any meal or substance. |
A rice cooker is your friend. once you got that going time for some curry of the variety that Tim does not like:
2 tbs oil 1 tbs yellow curry Heat together over med-high heat Add: 2 chicken breasts ( cut in strips or chuncks) 3 potatos diced 1 onion halved 1 tsp salt 1 tbs brown sugar Cook until chicken and potatos are done Add: 1 cup coconut milk This is off the top of my head, but sounds right. Simple and about 20 minutes. |
For the love of all that's holy, please disregard all suggestions involving mac & cheese. Eating that stuff will certainly not inspire you to greater cullinary heights.
Here are a few ideas off the top of my head: 1) Buy some fresh salmon filets. Sprinkle on some seasoning (lemon pepper, season-all, whatever) and put in a covered electric fry pan (or on the stove) at about 250 degrees and cook it until it is just barely done. Do not overcook! And don't turn it over. Only takes about ten minutes to cook. Serve with a salad, rice, steamed veggies, whatever. Fast, easy, delicious, healthy. 2) Buy some country style ribs, apply your favorite season salt liberally and throw them in the crockpot for 4-5 hrs. Serve with BBQ sauce over rice. 3) Buy a beef or pork roast, throw it in the crock pot with some baby carrots and small red potatoes. Wait 4-5 hours. |
