Farrah's sister qualified. And my mom's most recent marathon qualified her by a huge margin.

A 3:15 is not out of the question for you.

Seriously.

Think of how much faster you are this year as compared to last. I bet you could go out this weekend and drop a 1:35-1:40 half marathon.

I can't stay healthy enough, but I'm not certain what I'd have to run to qualify. It's pretty slow though.

That's cool. That's a hell of an accomplishment for an older person. So is she going to run Boston?

I am somewhat convinced that just about anybody can qualify for Boston. But if you're not blessed with speed (like in my case), it comes down to how hard you're willing to work for it. I'm really not willing to work for it right now, it would make running feel like a job.

My goal is to run a 3:30 marathon within a year. I think that's possibly doable. I honestly can't fathom a 3:15 right now.

The problem is, you guys are too young. I only need a 3:20:59 to qualify. I'm planning on aging my way into Boston. If I were 65, I'd be there.

Ha! That's my plan as well.
