Man is it depressing.
Not only are the games not on TV, but the sad truth is that I DON'T WANT TO WATCH THEM ANYWAY. I don't care about any team in the conference, and neither does anyone else that aren't alumni.
We can win out the season and not even know if we are a good team!!!!!!

I feel somewhat the same way, but for a different reason. I think the conference is as sucky or more sucky than it has ever been. However I think this is another thing that has been severely damaged by the BCS.
15 years ago there was the thought that while we didn't get to play on Jan 1, we would still get a bowl opponent in the top 25 many years (wasn't Iowa around 10 in Detmer's last game?) While we knew we could ever play on Jan
1, there was not a system set up to prevent "mid-majors" and the lesser BCS teams from winning the NC.
We could enter each season thinking hey if everything bounced right. And not just us, everyone. Now there are 10-15 teams on the high end that have a chance to play in the one meaningful bowl game. When you make only one game meaningful it makes everything else less meaningful.
15 years ago New Mexico was an important game because if we lost to New Mexico that ruined our season. Now we (fans) are not playing for a conf championship we are playing for the extreme longshot to go undefeated and play the worst possible BCS conf champion in a meaningless bowl game.
