Does anybody know if eastern states bike shops typically rent bikes?

I'm stuck in DC next weekend, and need to rent. I found a shop in Georgetown and will call but wondered if anybody has ridden in DC.

A friend of mine goes to Boston every fall and rents a bike from a local shop. I'm not sure about D.C., but I would imagine you could find someone that does.
