Good question. It was great watching BBC during the Athens games. Spotlights aplenty on athletes that finished sixth and below. Yet they were a proud bunch. Now I bet they are going freaky.

The story I read is that they dumped boatloads of dough into their track facilities and athletes for the last four years. Each rider has several custom track biokes just for them that cost something like 40k each and the claim the training and facilities have paid off. Or, they might be on drugs, I suppose. Has anybody seen Victor Conte lately?
