This is my first time on this site, I am not even sure how I got here, but this is very cool! I live in St. George and we have an good group that we ride with. We aren't the fastest, but we have a lot of fun and we do a lot of challenging rides. If any of you guys are ever in town and looking for a ride, just contact me and I will let you know where we are riding.

Have you ever done the Tour of Utah? I believe that is the right name. I looked into it last year - a 5 or 6 day stage tour through central and southern utah. Cost includes SAG wagons, 2 meals per day, camping site, and transport of your luggage and gear if needed. If your spouse wanted to do it and couldn't finish the whole day's ride, they would just pick her up and take her to the finish area. Looked very fun. I beleive it was sometime in september or october.

I have never done the Tour de Utah, it sounds like a lot of fun, I would probably end up in the "broom wagon" being in the saddle that long. I have done the Desperado Dual in Panquitch, and that is a lot of fun. It is fully supported with a 100 mile and 200 mile options. Cool ride and a good tune up for LOTOJA.

Here is the link

A friend of mine is one of the organizers. I think they just got funding from the Larry Miller group. So it should be a lot bigger this year.

I looked at that link but it is a professional stage race (albeit with some stages that allow amateurs to ride the course). Bluegoose's post made it sound like thre was a supported ride open to guys like me to putz along and camp out and so forth. Howzaboutit BG, is this what you meant or is there something else?

I'll be back in a minute, I've gotta go get those dang kids off mt grass.

There is another that I had in mind. I will look it up here in a minute.

My cousin ( our BYU jersey connection) did the stage race last year and did very well in his category. He said it is a great race. He road alongside Bobby Andreu (sp?) for a good part of one of the stages.

This might be the one I had in mind:

It looks fun nonetheless, but is a little more pricey than what I remembered. The one that I have researched in the past was more like $600 for a week and included camping instead of hotel accomodations.
