Hopeful, but doubtful.

Tut tut, looks like rain.

Had a nice ride last evening with a newbie. It was his second road ride, to go with a couple of months on a trainer. He is going to be very good.

He was also very excited to hear that we may have more company on the Fall River Century. More people to draft behind.

for me or you.

I'm trying to figure that into my race/ride calendar.

I will be spent from Ironman, but if it truly is a spin around, then it would be worth it.

I did my first ride of the season over 20 miles. It was also my second ride of the season more than 14 miles. (tells you where I am at).

40 miles.

Last 20 miles was into the wind.

It's depressing to see look at your HRM and see 160, and then look at your speedometer and see 13.

But I got some good elevated heart rate time.

I really need to lose 10lb. I'm at 190. Really need to be below 180.

I bonked today at mile 60. Instead of doing 100, only did 80. Yesterday's climbing took more out of me than anticipated and I didn't fuel correctly. I guess two water bottles and one candy bar isn't enough for 6000 feet of climbing.

I need more mental toughness.

No, you need more food and rest. I'm sure the mental toughness is there.
