pay attention to your pedaling technique. Remember, it's not like operating a hand pump. It's "spinning". Equal pressure throughout the spin.

Try to raise your cadence, by using a smaller gear. If you riding below 80 rpm, you especially need to work on this.

My uncle, who is a real bike racer, always used to tell me to "pedal round, don't pedal square."
