How did you get worry out of that? Maybe the guy is shopping for a house or looking to refinance at a lower rate. Wanting to pay less interest is not "living on the edge" in and of itself.

He's talked about possibly defaulting on his home loans (multiple).

If so, perhaps he ought to drive something a bit more practical.
