With the shorter days and the colder weather this last 500 has taken forever but I finally reached 3000 miles for the year today. This has been a pretty good jump for me compared to my last ten years. It's been fun and I'm already looking forward to more miles next year and trying to keep up with Archaea at Lotoja.

Nice work RCV. My outdoor riding has really dropped off since August. The last month or so I have been confined to the trainer, with only 2 actual road rides.

I'm not sure what my 2007 total is, as I changed out my computer batteries back in May without checking the total first.

We did all right that 40 miles. It's all because of that sandwich that Archaea wasn't about to let us stop and eat.

You ate a sandwich? No wonder your butt is extra fat.

I bet it even had mayo on it.

Extra mayo. After fighting that wind and heat I even broke down and had a coke after being soda free for that last two months.

When I pay between $30-100 to do an organized ride, I fully intend to get my moneys worth out of the rest and lunch stops. Thats really all I'm paying for, as the Death Ride is the only ride that I've done where they actually have regular SAG wagons and road closures. I chow down and often stuff my pockets full of extra Gu at the last stop to hold me over for the next few weeks of weekend rides.
